About Ghost Wavy Cap

Easily one of the most visually striking mushrooms currently found in Colorado, the Ghost Wavy Cap isolation is an albino Psilocybe cubensis variety known for its distinct wavy cap that develops at maturity—often resembling the flowing, skirt-like shape of a cartoon ghost. While not all Ghost varieties display this pronounced morphology, this particular specimen stands out as a true eye-catcher. Its thick, broad stipes bruise blue rapidly, adding to its unique visual appeal.

The story of Ghost Wavy Cap began within the last decade, when cultivator Jik Fibs discovered a few albino Golden Teachers in a flush. He isolated and stabilized them into what became known as True Albino Teacher. During the stabilization process, a unique mutation emerged—this became the foundation for what we now know as Ghost. It was subsequently isolated and stabilized into its own distinct variety. Recent potency tests show Ghost contains between 1.3% and 1.7% psilocybin, placing it above average in comparison to standard Psilocybe cubensis strains.
